There was a Christian man who loved God deeply. Though he was not perfect , he made a choice when he was still young that he will worship and serve God instead of calling upon his ancestral spirits in a bid to prosper. He believed God owns everything, the heavens and the earth including the silver and gold. He believed God will bless him with riches if he sees it fit . In his poverty he found love. He married a good woman—kind, supportive, and full of hope. On their wedding day, they stood before God and made promises: to love each other in good times and bad, in wealth and in poverty, in joy and in pain.
At the beginning, life felt full of promise.
But as the years passed, things did not go as planned.
The man tried business after business, but nothing seemed to work. Doors kept closing. Opportunities came and went. Each failure weighed heavily on him. Slowly, discouragement turned into quiet depression. Still, through it all, he held onto his faith. He prayed. He believed. He trusted that God would make a way.
His wife stood by him—for a long time.
She carried the family when things became too heavy. She paid the rent. She made sure there was food on the table. She covered school fees. She became the pillar when her husband could not stand strong.

“In sickness and in health.”

But God Does Not Change

Only God truly cares.
